At least one person has been checked for Swine Flu at Sydney Airport this morning, after arriving from LA.

Airlines arriving in Australia have been ordered to alert authorities to any passengers showing symptoms of Swine Flu as the virus sweeps across the world.

Passengers arriving from Sydney Airport this morning say announcements were made mid-flight asking anyone feeling sick to come forward.

One man fronted saying that customs officials boarded the plane with facemasks on to check him over.

Later, he was declared free of the virus.

Signs have also been placed in bathrooms at the airport advising people of the importance of washing their hands to protect against the virus.

While some passengers arriving aren’t concerned, some are fearful they may contract the disease.

A woman arriving from Hong Kong was seen wearing her own face mask.

“We don’t want to get sick,” she said.
